Law Schools With Top LSAT Scores

With a number of law schools accepting the GRE for admissions, the LSAT may seem like it doesn’t hold much weight anymore. However, a new ranking by the Short List blog of U.S. News & World Report shows that at many top law schools, median LSAT scores still have great significance.
The ranking found that the median LSAT score for full-time students entering in fall 2017 at 185 law schools ranked by U.S. News. On average, median LSAT scores at these schools was 156. The top 12 schools? A median score of nearly 170.

Harvard Comes Out on Top
Harvard Law and Yale Law shared the number one spot with a median LSAT score of 173. Columbia Law and Stanford Lawn came in third with an LSAT score of 171.
Surprisingly, a number of top law schools didn’t make the top 12 in terms of median LSAT score, Above The Law reports. For instance, Berkeley Law, (which is ranked by U.S. News as the 9th best law school), which places it behind Northwestern Law and Duke Law (which both ranked 11th in U.S. News). Even more, Berkeley Law finished behind Washington University’s 168, which finished 18th overall.
Pepperdine Law School jumped from 72nd to 59th in the original rankings due to an error in the school’s reporting of median LSAT score.
