Credentials: Professor Barron serves as the Director of the Entrepreneurship Law Center at the Northwestern University School of Law. There, she teaches Entrepreneurship law and Venture Capital. Professor Reed is the Assistant Director of the Entrepreneurship Law Center and Co-Director of Northwestern’s joint JD-MBA program. He is also the co-author of Entrepreneurship Law: Cases and Materials.

Description: This course provides entrepreneurs with the legal tools to launch a venture. It covers areas like forming an entity (LLC, corporation, etc.); choosing names and trademarks; protecting intellectual property and trade secrets; financing ventures; and complying with employment law. Each week, students will view a series of video lectures, followed by case readings, and quizzes.
