This year’s ranking also includes its “Specialty Rankings,” which assesses schools’ excellence in areas ranging from Constitutional Law to Clinical Training. These peer assessments were supplied by law school faculty who teach in their particular disciplines. Using U.S. News’ five-point scale, survey respondents ranked their top five programs, with programs ranked based on their average score per specialty (with 10 scores being the minimum for inclusion).

Clinical Training: City University of New York (CUNY), Georgetown (Tie)

Constitutional Law: Harvard and Yale (Tie)

Contracts and Commercial Law: Columbia

Corporate Law: Columbia Harvard, New York University, UC-Berkeley (Tie)

Criminal Law: New York University

Dispute Resolution: Ohio State and Pepperdine (Tie)

Environmental Law: Pace University, UCLA, UC-Berkeley (Tie)

Healthcare Law: Saint Louis University

Intellectual Property: UC-Berkeley

International Law: New York University

Legal Writing: University of Nevada-Las Vegas and University of Oregon (Tie)

Tax Law: New York University

Trial Advocacy: Temple University
